I suppose this is as good a time as any other to start a new blog. Because I feel inspired to write again, and sometimes 140 characters just isn’t enough. I know these days most of us don’t have the time (or patience) to plough through entire paragraphs, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try. Can written communication exist beyond emoticons and hashtags? Let us hope so.
Surrounded by textbooks, workbooks, guidebooks and teaching aids of various levels, I’m constantly reminded that writing isn’t just an art, it’s practically a science. And it’s important to get your elements right, isn’t it? I’m definitely not The Next Great Writer, just a lifelong student, learning to harness the power of words.
It could be the long weekend, but it feels like March is about to slip away anytime in the midst of winds and rains that springtime brings. Indeed, March is ending, and soon another quarter of another year will be gone. But I don’t really mind it, I’m looking forward to spring. Because as cliched as it is, spring does symbolise a new beginning very well, doesn’t it?
