羅麥記 (Law Mark Kee) is a diner that’s a bit more upscale than the average 茶餐廳 (HK-style teahouse), with prices to show for it. Still much better than 翠華 (Tsui Wah) though – the latter is overpriced and so overrated!
The interiors were bright and kitschy, with a 70’s theme and retro music that my parents would definitely recognise and maybe sing along to. I’d never dined here before, and the menu looked promising!
I had noodles with chicken, topped with a cheese sauce. It was amazing – the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the cheese sauce was subtle yet flavourful. If only the vegetables consisted of more than half a cherry tomato and a sprig of parsley, then it’d be truly awesome!
Noodles with beef slices in a tomato broth. I didn’t try this, but it sure smelled good!
Apparently when it comes to bread, size matters. I can’t wait to try the Milo milk bread next!
