Came here for a quick midweek dinner with Edwin. This place was recommended by Shaun, who is Edwin’s colleague and my ex-schoolmate from JC. Small world, right?
手拆蟹肉泡飯 // Fresh crabmeat with rice in soup. This dish is a combination of Edwin’s favourite foods – rice, soup, and crabmeat. I’d recreate this at home, but generally when it comes to crustaceans, I’d rather pay and let someone else do the hard work, heheh.
蟹肉雲吞蝦子撈麵 // Crabmeat wanton and shrimp roe “lo mein”. I opted for spinach noodles as I was feeling healthy that day. The broth was lovely – really flavourful!
I couldn’t resist getting a plate of crispy fish skin as well. The “herbal mayo” tasted suspiciously like Thousand Island though.
南北杏蜜棗雪梨茶 // Pear tea with apricot kernels and dates.
杞子菊花蜜 // Chrysanthemum honey with goji berries.
Admittedly it’s isn’t the cheapest of dinners, but when you factor in the location and the seafood, it’s fairly reasonable. Plus, if you’ve got space leftover, there’s Haagen-Dazs next door…
